For President Obama they gonna keep talking...

my b#$$h session

Someone please tell me what it is about me that attracts married men? Its been on my mind for a while now. I'm not sure what it is exactly that I'm doing. I swear its like I have number 2 or other woman or mistress stamped on my forehead or maybe its on my behind where I can't see it. Let me tell ya about my boring day to day life. Everyday I go to work from either 6 to 12 hours daily depending on the day of the week. I try (big emphasis on try there) to squeeze in a workout either before work or after work. I go to Church 1 to 2 times a week. I go to school full time. And then try to fit in a movie or trip to Target (my favorite store) once a week. I don't go to bars or clubs (maybe 2 or 3 times a year for those special holidays), but married men always seem to be at the places that I do go to and zero right in on me. I do believe that I am a married man magnet. What do you think?

cant forget

For those of you who don't know me personally, let me tell you a little about myself. I 'm honest and extremely blunt. I'm also trustworthy, and if I consider you a friend or loved one, there's not much that I wouldn't do for you, if I got it and you need it, its yours. On the other hand, if I once counted you in my circle of love and you've proven yourself to be unworthy and not worth my time, then guess what? You might as well be dead. Cause thats what you are to me, dead. I don't suffer fools, cause my momma didn't raise one. That being said, I can count on 1 hand the actual number of friends that I have. My personality just doesn't allow for me to get along with a whole lot of other females, I don't like them, they talk too much, its been that way since I was 5. I'm not gonna tell you how old I am now. But needless to say nothing has changed. However I do try to give people the benefit of the doubt. You're probably wondering why I'm telling you this? It's so you won't judge me harshly by anything that I am going to say going forward.

My circle was infiltrated a few years back by a backstabbing, VD carrying, skeezer, (i didn't know this at the time) but I let her in the house. I won't go into details but just know she did a lot of underhanded stuff that I had to check her on. But like I said, I'll give you the benefit, once. You're probably thinking I should get over it and let it all go. And I have, everything that happened in the past is exactly where it is right now, the past. I can forgive, I just can't forget. I can't forget. I can't.

My girls and I have a monthly ladies nite out every month, and the past 3 months I haven't attended because my friends have reconnected with the snake in the grass from old. I tell them don't invite her and they do it anyway, stating I need to get over the stuff from the past. I don't think they get it. The snake is dead to me, I don't wanna see her, smell her, see those big frog eyes of hers, or be in the same room with her. Its not personal at all, she just doesn't belong. This weekend is supposed to be our monthly get together, and again, I'll have to absent myself from those goings on. My friends will say I'm being selfish by denying them my company again (hey those are their words not mine), but its for the best. I know if I go, the bug eyed girl will look at me sideways and then I'll have to pop her. again!!!!

So what do you think? Am I being mean and hateful, or doing the right thing to avoid potential conflict? You make the call.

jury duty

I've been out of the loop for a while mostly because I had nothing to say and partly because I was unfortunate enough to get selected for the privilege of judging one of my peers.

Picture this Sicily 2009.. just kidding

One day I was minding my own business, and I happened to check the mail and low and behold there was a letter from Frank Crowley Court House letting me know of the privilege of having to report for jury duty. But be that as it may, the day arrived for me to show. The weather felt and looked like me too. Dark and rainy all day. Upon checking in, they place you and about 2000 other people (i mean that literally too, my juror number was 1098) in a big room with a bunch of other unlucky people and you sit and wait and sit and wait some more for about 3 hours before they split you up by numbered order. I was selected for a DWI case, not really sure how, since I said that I could not be sure that I would be unbiased, since I was almost killed by a drunk driver a few years back. But I was selected anyway (go figure). But anyway the judge gives us this speech about our civic duty and its importance because the stakes of this guys liberty (freedom) was based on our decision and we were to make a concerted effort to be unbiased and fair and make our decision based solely on the facts presented to us. After that speech, I felt obligated to sit up straight and pay close attention to the arguments and evidence and video that was provided by prosecution and defense. Now in the previous sentence, you'll notice that I mentioned that I felt obligated to focus on the case. The judge however, barely kept from just giving up the ghost and just putting his head down on the podium and passing the fuck out. I couldn't believe it, the whole thing was a joke. The lawyers kept objecting and he wouldn't hear and they would have to repeat the objection, and then he would awake and ask them why they were objecting. And the bailiff didn't event try to keep his snores to a minimum, he sat at the back of the courtroom sounding like dying pig. Now I do realize, that this was not a murder trial by any means, but again, we're talking about this guys' freedom and maybe even talking about some innocent bystanders life in the very near future, depending on if the guy drinks and drives again. After all he wrecked his car on his way home from the club, he just managed to miss the witnesses who saw him crash.

I was very appalled and disappointed mostly disappointed though in the whole process. See I've never served jury duty, never been in trouble with the law (tickets don't count) either so my expectations and the reality of the situation were 2 completely different things. To be honest, I'm not really sure what I expected, but what I got wasn't much.

working hard work

Its hard being a woman, regardless of skin tone, body type, or where you lay your head at night, being a woman is a struggle. We have so much to do and so little time. I sometimes wonder if men (or women for some of you) even realize all that a lady has to do in order to be FINE. It ain't easy although we do try our best to make it look effortless. For instance, take shaving, it requires alot of focus and attention to detail for the easy to reach and not so easy to reach spots. You prefer smooth hairless legs and so do we. You prefer the kitty to be neatly trimmed and primped and so do we, for its not only environmentally friendly but its stays cooler that way too. However, depending on the method of hair removal the woman chooses, it can be not only painful but sometimes traumatic (ie... we have to test various devices and products to find the right fit for the kitty (no pun intended of course). You like to dress or rather undress the kitty in pretty barely there panties and again so do we. We spend hundreds of dollars a month to keep the wig fixed and on point. Not to mention the manicures and pedicures, and the freaking eyebrow waxes (that shit hurts) and the one you should appreciate the most that we do in our spare time when we're looking dazed or as if we are staring into space, the KEGAL (aka kung foo grip) exercises (not sure what those are? google it) Yea buddy we do those for your benefit. All of it.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, if you haven't told your lady something sweet in a while. Take the time do so, because its guaranteed to lead to her showing you or doing you something sweet in return. :)

p.s SBF enjoys reading and a good comedy looking for SM. any recommendations, anyone?

Bush on Obama: 'This guy has no clue'

In Latimer's (Bush's speech writer) new book, "Speech-less: Tales of a White House Survivor," he reveals Bush's reactions to the economic collapse, the presidential campaign, and other memorable events. Latimer said Bush liked Mitt Romney best and that he was "clearly not impressed with the McCain operation." Latimer said the former president wanted to appear with McCain at a campaign event in Phoenix, but after he was told the then-Republican nominee couldn't get enough people to show up, he called it a "cruel hoax.""'He couldn't get 500 people? I could get that many people to turn out in Crawford.' He shook his head. 'This is a five-spiral crash, boys.'"– Former President George W. Bush "seemed to feel considerable unease" with John McCain as the Republican presidential nominee, according to ex-speechwriter Matt Latimer in his tell-all memoir on his days in the White House. Bush presumed Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee(thats what you get for assuming mothafucker), according to Latimer, and was extremely critical of Barack Obama. Latimer said Bush was "ticked off" after one of Obama's speeches and he said the future president wasn't "remotely qualified" for the challenges of the job."(Bush) came in one day to rehearse a speech, fuming. 'This is a dangerous world,' he said for no apparent reason, 'and this cat isn't remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you,'" Latimer said. Latimer also made the controversial assertion that after Sarah Palin was tapped as McCain's running mate, Bush reportedly asked whether she was "the governor of Guam" and said that she was "not even remotely prepared." A former Bush and Palin aide has challenged the accuracy of the charge.

I've been waiting for this tell all book, cause I'm quite sure that nigga Bush done said alot worse than what is being released. You can't be from Crawford and not be an undercover racist. Which I am sure that he is. We drove through there and knew not to stop back in the day. His publicist said the book is a lie and that Latimer is lying too. My question is that if it is false, why not sue for libel?

I guess he really and truly thinks that he did a great job while in office. We went from sugar (Clinton Admin) to shit (Bush Admin) at the speed of light.

Tens of thousands rally in D.C. against federal spending

Before I get started on my soap box, I have to reiterate that I am a firm believer in freedom of speech. But after this past week with the whole "you liar" thing, never has my opening quote on my blog been so true (go on go ahead & a take look @ what Sammy had to say). Although I'm sure that if myself and fellow look a likes were to march on Washington, there would be some comments made by assholes like Rush and Glen and other small time/town less well known haters like them. Some fiscal conservatives were there today doing there usual cry about government spending and how the Negro is spending all their hard earned cash. Some waved U.S. flags and some men were dressed in colonial costumes with tri-colored hats. Many carried signs addressing a host of issues. Some targeted health care with "First the IRS, Post Office, and Now Health Care" and "Obamacare makes me sick" while others pointed toward a fear of oncoming communism with slogans like "The new green is the old red," and "One czar down. 32 to go. Thank you Glenn Beck."

Really? The president is a tyrant now for wanting to equal the playing field between big business insurance and us regular people? Do you or do you not want the right to choose? I do. I want to choose my own doctor, not from a pre-scribed list of people that are on payroll for the insurance companies.

The same folks marching are the same people that didn't vote in their local elections which is just as important as the national or state elections. Probably didn't read the propositions at all just shot'em down w/o even knowing for sure about whether taxes would or wouldn't be involved. America is full of truly selfish people who are only ever concerned with numeral uno.

You claim to be conservatives, but what exactly are you conserving? it seems to me you stand for the good ol' boy system (who you know not what you know), you're against abortion, but don't want the schools teaching your sluts to practice safe sex instead of abstinence (which has never worked) you don't want to pay for welfare, but are against programs that would aid in getting your people off of it (majority of people on welfare are white women). You hate paying for prisons and the people in them and don't want to hire them, but are against programs that would teach and provide support and motivation for the rehabilitated to get an education and a job (you can't help but have repeat offenses when you have no options). Some of you can't understand what it means to be without options, well maybe that's because you've always had them, options that is. Life is easy when doors and windows of opportunity have never been closed to you (who you know not what you know). You don't want government interference, but was crying to the government when the CEOs were playing fast and loose and golf on a resort with your retirement money. So its ok for the insurance companies to play fast and loose and golf on a resort with your health and maybe even your life? You bitch about illegal aliens being here, but you're the main ones paying them cash under the table to clean your houses and mow your lawns and babysit your kids too.

Conservatives are.........."A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren".--Proverbs 6:19 "Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same".--Job 4:8 in other words, you'll eventually get whats coming to you and you'll deserve every bit of it too.

Again I ask what exactly are you conserving?

shit...that's the media for ya

I have to admit to being a little sensitive when it comes the Obamas. I like them, they represent me. See there has never been anyone in the oval office that looks like me. Ya dig?
the media has been making a big deal about what the 1st lady has been wearing, most recently about the shorts she was wearing while on vacation in the grand canyon. Look at them I mean really, "practically daisy dukes?" that's a big fat lie. Michelle honey you don't have to dress like Laura Bush or Barbara Bush or even Hillary Clinton, the fact of the matter is they didn't wear shorts cause they can't or couldn't (varicose veins). In the words of Dr Dre (formerly of NWA), Black women are the strongest most hardworking people on earth. The shit I talk on records about black women is just that: shit.

I want cheaper health insurance

TH 3 PRINCIPLES FOR REAL HEALTH CARE REFORM: according to my idol, President Obama.

Reduce Costs — Rising health care costs are crushing the budgets of governments, businesses, individuals and families and they must be brought under control
Guarantee Choice — Every American must have the freedom to choose their plan and doctor – including the choice of a public insurance option
Ensure Quality Care for All — All Americans must have quality and affordable health care

I'm all for health care reform, I want the cost to be a heck of a lot cheaper, I want to pick my doctor myself, not from a predetermined list. I want better preventive care, so that if I do have cancer or such, like my aunt that recently passed away, I can get help before its too late without breaking the bank. Most importantly, I don't want to have a health savings account, because I pay a monthly premium.

I hate that there have been over 400 health care mergers in the last 10 years and just two companies dominate a full third of the national market (the GOP will tell you that its a freemarket) but it seems like a monopoly to me.

Aetna & Blue Cross Blue Shield these companies including United Health have the money to pay the lobbyist, the Congessmen and the media to discredit and mislead the average Joe

Medical bills are the number one cause of bankruptcy in America. A common misconception is that the only people who are uninsured are jobless or illegal aliens who wouldn't be eligible for health care regardless, but actually most ot the millions of uninsured people do work and are authorized to work in the U.S

Don't call it a come back

I for one am glad that the HATED PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AND Andy Reid ( I like old Andy he just coaches a loser team), have elected to give Michael Vick, with his sexy self, another chance to play pro football and hopefully get back to what he does best. Although, there are a bunch of haters in Philly Vick, so good luck with that, cause they'll probably hate you more than they hate T.O. Plus there are lot of pissed off people (mostly whites) that don't believe you deserve another chance. It was a smart move hooking up with Tony as your mentor, he's one of the few truly respected and well-liked black coaches in the NFL.

So I guess that means you might be in DFW w/ Philly in January watching from the sidelines when the Eagles come to Dallas to get beat down by them Boys again (How bout'em?). Of course them Boys will have already beat them in November at home in Philly.

As for PETA, I don't know what ya'lls problem is, You don't say anything to players like Jared Allen who hunts bears and hangs their heads on his mantle in his den. PETA should be advocating for all animals, horse racing, dog racing, duck, deer, and bear hunting, not just the ones considered domesticated. Besides that negro has done his time, now shut the hell up.

a star has fallen

Another athlete has done a stupid thing, had sex with an unprofessional (one who does not know the score) not like the usual groupie or prostitute who does not believe the platitudes or empty comments. No he had sex with someone who thought she had it what it takes to keep an athlete interested, and probably believed every word he said to get her to drop them Vicki's. Whats interesting is that this happened to a well liked white quarterback in the NFL, that's atypical, very atypical. I mean this type of behavior has been the norm for black athletes for many years, but now its just like the swine flu, it knows no color and crosses all racial boundaries. No one is safe from this pandemic, all you can do is try not put yourself in a situation where you can get caught up. Do I think it was rape with a huge cover-up by the hotel? no, but I bet he has to come out his pocket with a whole lotta green.

Had to bring it back

Do these names ring a bell?

Foley, Sanford, Edwards (politics) Jordan, McNair, Bryant (aka Master Splinter) (sports)

What do all of these men have in common? Extra-marital affairs....

I had to bring it back b/c its seems to be a running story from one month to the next. There is definitely something about that Other woman that is the bomb diggity. These men all of whom have children were willing to put all of that on the line for some THRILLS. And then everyone wants to dis the Other woman and call her mean and hateful names (some of which are usually true) when it takes 2 to tango. But lets start with the man in the mirror first; what is old boy compensating for or trying to prove? Are you wondering if you still got it? If you gotta step out then the answer is????? Probably not. Those women and all the Other women out there must have some Good Good (I know I do), and be really good at faking it. :D

Happy Birthday to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend was my birthday and as such I decided my blog should be about me in particular today (Sunday June 28) All throughout the month of June, I celebrate and do things for me especially in preparation of the BIG DAY. Well on Friday my local friends and my not so local friends and family came from out of town to party with me. But Prior to hitting the club scene, I went to a bar (don't know the name of the place in Euless) and played virtual golf with a buddy of mine and had a great time losing. Thanks for the game and the drink by the way. Later myself and the girls went to Carson's Live and got our drink and dance on, and had a really good time. Went to IHOP afterwards and fed our faces, then all of us except for 1 crashed in various places around my apartment around 0400 hours. We woke up slowly about 0800 and showered and dressed and hit the road to go to Waco to watch my babies run in a track meet. Oh, we stopped briefly at Mimi's Cafe for some very very delicious blueberry muffins. Shout out to Mimi's Cafe!!!! Then back on the highway for Waco. In Waco, it was about 1000 degrees on the track at Baylor Univ. so I like sweated off 5 pounds in a 4hr timeframe. And got super duper black from the sun too. But my babies did wonderfully and received many ribbons. Later I took them to their favorite restaurant (Golden Corral Yuck!!) and then to the movies to watch Transformers 2(which was pretty darn good by the way the second time around too). Then I was pleasantly surprised with a cake from the girls and it was very tasty. I got back on the road to go home about 2330hrs and tried desperately to stay awake on the drive back to Dallas and not kill myself or anyone else on the way there. Amazingly I arrived safely at home about 0100hrs and showered and did a backflip onto my bed where I crashed til about 0845hrs this morning. Whereby I then prepared for Church and went to Church (excellent sermon by the Bro. Norris) on the way home I stopped at Spring Creek BBQ and am now sitting watching Wimbledon 2009 on NBC (go Venus and Serena !!!!). Chilling is me....Jamie Fox will hosting the BET Awards tonight and he'll be at the Nokia in September can't wait to see you Jamie, I'll be on the front row with a surprise for you. :D

Just Beat It.....

This is how I want to remember "who's bad". RIP I'll miss the old you when me and my crew used to have dance offs to 'beat it' and I sang to my first crush "I wanna rock with you". And I 'Remember the Time' when the 'Thriller' video came out and we thought we were the best dancers in the world.

Mentally Challenged teen gets 100 years

This kid who has been diagnosed with mental retardation with an IQ of 47, was found fondling a 6 year old boy in his neighborhood. He was charged with 5 counts to include sexual misconduct, aggravated sexual assault, and indecency with a child and then found guilty and sentenced to 100 years in prison. What is wrong this picture? We have 100,000 NORMAL AND FULLY FUNCTIONING, SOME OF THEM QUITE SUCCESSFUL i.e... teachers, doctors, businessmen whom are pedophiles and molesters, that only get up 10 years, and get out early for good behavior. Feel free to check your local sex offender map. The article on CNN says that he confessed to fondling the little boy. Hell, he probably was clueless about the questions being asked, for 1 he can't read, can't write, and most likely doesn't speak intelligibly either at that level. This is truly sad. They probably asked him yes or no questions, like did you touch that little boy? and you know he said yes. That judge and jury should be ashamed of themselves, what? were they trying to make an example out of him? Was this a lesson to other low functioning mentally challenged people, who won't understand anyway? I remember a few years back when a teacher was charged for misconduct with a mentally challenged teen and she got 5 years and she absolutely new better. I'm not saying he shouldn't be punished, but 100 years, really?

I sincerely hope that his family appeals and some judge with more common sense will seek an alternative solution than a sentence of a 100 years.

the secret behind wealth

this is the top 5 ways to be wealthy in America, pick any of these and you won't go wrong. please don't bet on number 6. only added it because someone probably believes it will happen.....

6. win the lottery (highly, extremely unlikely)
5. work, then save and invest more than you consume from your income.
4. be a criminal (drug dealer, arms dealer (federal gov?), gamble). Don't believe? ex: Kennedy, Rockefeller
3.own a business and then go public (Microsoft, Wal-Mart)
2. marry it (women control more inter-generational wealth than men)(they should've had a pre-nup ask Michael Jordan or Paul McCartney
1. inherit wealth (majority of wealthy people get it from their parents)

Feds launch a probe into Dr. Tiller's death

Here we go again, people can't seem to let other people RIP or let their families grieve in peace. I'm a big advocate of freedom of speech & press and so forth, but I sincerely believe that there is also a time and place for everything. I'm against abortion, but I am for the right to choose. Dr. Tiller you went through some things (bombing of your clinic in '86, getting shot twice in '93 and finally being killed in '09) everyone has their tests, and you definitely had your fair share.

"Most anti-abortion groups avoided the funeral, having denounced Tiller's shooting. But 17 demonstrators showed up from Westboro Baptist Church, known for picketing soldiers' funerals to present its message that their deaths are God's punishment for Americans' tolerance of homosexuality. They held signs such as "God sent the shooter" and "Abortion is bloody murder."

The Rev. Donald Spitz, with the extremist anti-abortion group "Army of God," says the shooting of Tiller is no different from shooting down a madman who opens fire on a group of preschoolers."I understand that perfectly, why someone would take some action doing that," he says.Rather than quelling clinic violence, he says, the FACE Act is stoking frustration among some abortion opponents, pushing them to even greater extremes."I understand that anger," he says. "You know children are dying, and you want to do something. And just, you know, people just can't take it anymore. That might just drive them to it. So I think the pro-abortion people brought this on themselves by forcing the politicians to pass these laws."Spitz has called those who kill abortion providers heroes, and he says he sheds no tears for Tiller."He was the murderer, and as far as I'm concerned, he reaped what he sowed," he says.
For those of you wondering what law(s) the the good Reverend is referring to, FACE (Freedom Access to Clinic Entrances 1994) was passed to prevent harassment of personnel and clients at abortion clinics. So basically it forced Mr. Roeder (shooter) to go to extremes like attending the same church as Doctor Tiller to do his harassing. I can not believe that this guy (the Rev) truly believes that there is a correlation a freaking distinct similarity between a school shooter and an abortion doctor---get the fuck out here. this is truly bigotry at it finest

at what age are you responsible for your own actions?

I had trouble deciding what I wanted to talk about, it was a toss up between 4 kids being charged as adults for sexually assaulting another kid. Or man advertises on Craigslist for another man to rape his wife. Again it was a struggle to decide which one to choose. But ultimately I chose the kids, because well they are the future.

Like I was saying I was reading on CNN.com that 4 teen boys age 14, were being tried as adults for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13 yr old boy, in the school locker room in Florida. They supposedly took turns holding the kid down and sodomized him with broomsticks and hockey sticks. Apparently the assaults took place several times over a period of about 2 months in front of other kids too. Other kids!!! No-one, not the witnesses, or the victim reported the incidents. It didn't even come out until the victim got fed up and fought the kids in front of the coach outside. When questioned by the coach about the fight, the victim admitted to being fed up with them other boys jumping on him. Now I don't know about kids now a days, but if stuff like that happened when I was at school and I saw I would jumped in and tried to help the kid and if that didn't work, I would have told a teacher or somebody.

Now get this, the defendants attorney's think that those kids should be tried as juveniles because they all come from upstanding communities and families. One of the mothers of the defendants said for the judge to dismiss the charges because her son was going to college. So, I guess if the defendants were from the hood it would be A-okay to try them as adults.

But more importantly, what would make you remain silent to something like that, this isn't your typical bully taking your lunch money from you. This is punks taking your dignity and probably your sense of self-worth too. And where were the coaches and staff/faculty when all of this was going on? And why would these kids do this to another kid? they had nothing else better to do?

I guess I have 3 questions: Whose the enabler? and Whose responsible? or Does the blame belong to both?

society? boys will just be boys...they'll outgrow it
TV, video games? that's the band wagon used lately
peer pressure?

Anyone? you? you? you?

You are a sore loser. Nike gassed you up for real

I love it when these role models give me something to talk about.

“It’s hard for me to congratulate somebody after you just lose to them,” he said. “I’m a winner. It’s not being a poor sport or anything like that. If somebody beats you up, you’re not going to congratulate them. That does not make sense to me. I’m a competitor. That’s what I do. It does not make sense for me to go over and shake somebody’s hand.”--Lebron James

I mean really, now if this had been Kobe mind you I don't even like Master Splinter, he would have been nailed to the cross for those statements.....and kids look up to this dude and want to be be this guy?.......you are so right Lebron, shaking somebody's hand would be too much like the right thing to do.......enough said.

Go Orlando Go!!!!!

we can't let go of race, cause ya'll still putting it in our face

I could go on and on about how racism still exist in this day and age, simply because it does. Case in point: here's a few a names, guess who's to blame? I'm a take you back too..... I had to take it there, because Rush and his faithful followers said it was all in our head.

Susan Smith
Bonnie Sweeten
Emmit Til
The Scottsboro brothers
Omar Edwards (case of mistaken identity right???? no racial profiling there)
James Byrd Jr.

I could go on for days, but I don't want to belabor the point.

To White Pride Worldwide, we keeping track too, now how about them apples?

Gay marriage for eveyone Cheney?

Former VP Cheney, I don't know what it is, but lately everthing you say and do annoys me, and it's as if you are directing all your statements, stupid statements to me!!! I could be wrong or just sensitive, but I doubt it. You see I think you had a muzzle on your mouth for the past 9 years, when you were selected by G.W. Bush who put it there as part of the agreement as running mate and so forth. Now that you been released from GB so to speak you got a lot to say and the media is just eating it up. Having said that, I feel much better now and can get on with my post.

Now you talking about how you suddenly believe that everyone should have the right to get married to anyone regardless of sex, but here's the kicker, it should be totally up to the states to make that decision. Hello, did you forget about DOMA (defense of marriage act 1996) and the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the Constitution? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that sounds like Federal gov. involvement to me. Don't you realize that some things can't be left up to the state, this is just like Prohibition, women's suffrage, and Civil Rights Act of 1964, and abortion. This has the same explosive potential for nationwide protest as any of the listed above. You can't leave it to the states, because eventually probably sooner than later, a lot of people will probably die behind it and then maybe you'll think the federal government should intervene. Or maybe not.

I commend you on doing such a good job of having your daughter keep it a secret that she's gay, until you knew you were selected for VP.
